You joined us last month as we unveiled our outline for “Mafia BOSS” and all the sponsors participating in the project. This month we are going to break down exhaust options and do a full review of why we feel Larini was the best possible exhaust option for our Quattroporte.

Picking an exhaust for an exotic can be somewhat frustrating as the costs can be very different ranging from $2000-$8000 and honestly all promise to do just about the same in terms of horsepower. The real difference however lies in the sound which ultimately in an exotic car is much more important than the 1-2 hp difference you attain from each exhaust. Now the real problem remains that the only way you can get a real gauge of sound is when you hear it in person as clips can be deceiving and misleading.

We brought you Phase 1 of our Maserati Quattroporte Project last month showcasing the exhaust upgrade from Formula Dynamics and Larini. This month, we take you to ADV1 Wheels for the ultimate 3 piece concave wheel upgrade. We wanted to stay within the theme of “Mafia BOSS” and wanted to keep the car’s all black look consistent. The Secret Team therefore decided to reach out to Jordan Swerdloff of ADV1 personally in order to help with our shoe needs. We originally wanted to go with one of ADV1’s Trackspec lineup of wheels which included the famous step lip design coupled with a concave but were told by Jordan that it wasn’t  necessarily going to turn out as we expected and that we should re-think our selection…

Last month we introduced the almighty ADV1 8.0 Trackspec wheels to our car, changing its looks instantly to the meanest and best looking Quattroporte to date. This month we are going to take you through stance and what makes ours so perfect. Two months ago we showed you how Larini helped bring the Ferrari V8 to life and how Formula Dynamics helped facilitate that partnership. We are 70% through our project at this point and figured it would be a good time to take a look back at our project and see the true cost of ownership of this Maserati Quattroporte so far.  We bought our Maserati about 7 months ago now and have had some significant findings about the costly expense owning such a car can carry. We purchased this 2007 Maserati Quattroporte GT with only 13,000 miles on the odometer and a Maserati warranty expiring in 12/30/2013 which made it a no brainer for us when selecting the car.

Our Project “Mafia BOSS” has come to an end in it’s project format but will remain in the Secret Entourage family through 2012 as we add a few more components from our friends at Larini and Formula Dynamics.
