Omega Motorsport Events – No Fly Zone 3

Omega Motorsport Events - No Fly Zone 3It's not often you get to drive on an airport runway and it's definitely not often do you get to drag race down the landing strip. We had the privilege of attending Omega Motorsport Event's No Fly Zone 3, an annual event that brings out the fastest cars in Southern California to Minter Field Airport in Shafter, CA. There was no less than 400HP on display and even included a few 1000+ HP monsters too. We took our 500HP C63 AMG to battle and even though we weren't the fastest, we still an amazing time. There's no other event near Los Angeles that allows you to take your vehicle in excess of 150 MPH in a safe and controlled environment. We definitely will attend future events but for now, sit back and enjoy the pictures we took during our downtime.

Project C63 AMG – Beast Unleashed!

Project C63 AMG - Beast Unleashed! A wolf in sheeps clothing just might be the best way to describe the C63 AMG. From the untrained eye, it looks like just another C-Class but those who recognize the AMG badge, will always give their respects. The 6.2L V8 engine is a thing of beauty and perhaps one of the best V8's of this generation. Unfortunately, the days of big displacement motors are becoming a thing of the past in favor of smaller, more fuel efficient engines. When the same motor can be found with 50 more HP in the E63, SL63, S63, and other upscale models, it does raise the question as to why the C63 only has 451 HP. Simply put, Mercedes couldn't have the baby C-Class be more powerful or faster so they slightly detuned it from the factory. We reached out to the folks at Eurocharged Performance to help us fix that problem.

Reader Rides – Stephen’s Turbo NSX

Reader Rides - Stephen's Turbo NSXAlthough we don't feature many imports on Secret, we do have a soft spot for them as we've all grown up around that scene and have even owned some in the past. The 90's was arguably the greatest generation for Japanese sports cars which gave birth to a 'supercar' from literally every make. Toyota made the Supra, Nissan had the GTR, Mitsubishi had the GTO, Mazda had the RX7, and Honda had the NSX. Although the NSX was slightly underpowered, it made up with superb balance and handling that rivaled many Italian exotics. When Stephen sent us photos of his astonishingly clean NSX, we knew we had to showcase it.

Reader Rides – Rohan’s Twin Turbo Gallardo

Reader Rides - Rohan's Twin Turbo GallardoWelcome to a new segment we like to call 'Reader Rides' where we take a moment to feature some of the cars our readers proudly own. There no better way to kick this off by featuring one of the nicest Lamborghini Gallardo's. What once started as a basic Gallardo in the highly desirable Verde Ithaca paint scheme, has become a work of art that includes a Heffner Twin Turbo 1200HP kit and Renown LP570 front bumper with matching Superleggera decklid, spoiler, and rear diffuser. All this is finished off with a set of HRE 843R wheels and Toyo R888 tires. One of the more recent finishing touches is two-toning the car with a black roof and pillars for the much needed contrast.
