Project Mercedes CLS55 AMG “Executive” Complete

The time has come for us to part ways with our beautiful and adored Mercedes CLS55 AMG. This beauty was with us since last September and she is off to a good home locally, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for her driving around. Here is a final update on our project and one last photo shoot for all you Mercedes AMG lovers. The award winning designed CLS55 AMG is the sexiest 4 door we have ever owned and this particular one was one the cleanest ones in the country…

We finalized our project by adding bits and pieces of carbon fiber to finish off the look. We went with a dry carbon fiber front lip and rear glossy carbon diffuser similar to the one found on the all might CLK63 Black Series. Our car was loaded with just about every single option you can imagine including massaging and cooled seats. Our AMG was Brilliant Silver on Obsidian leather with glossy Burl Wood. This clean combination turned heads everywhere.

Our final list of modifications included:

360 Forged Wheels “Straight 5” in 20” format
Nitto Invo Tires (305 Rears)
RennTech Lowering module
RennTech Intake
Carbon Fiber front lip
Carbon Fiber rear diffuser

Despite our list of mods not being extensive, we pride ourselves in modding our exotics and high profile cars with simply the best and classiest parts on the market. The car was classic, elegant and one of the best examples of what a CLS55 should look like. Out of the 28 cars we have owned in the past, there has yet to be one that is anything less than perfection in its class.

We say goodbye to our 2006 Mercedes CLS55AMG and welcome two new exotic projects to the Secret Entourage family. They will be unveiled in the next few weeks but for now a hint: It is 1 of 1 ever built in its color, and its logo “gives you wings”.

Project CLS55 AMG “Executive” Update

Our Project CLS55 AMG “executive” is coming to a wrap just as the winter weather is starting to go away. Here is an update on our car as it is about to be going on sale to make room for some summer exotic cars. We have yet to decided what will replace this beast but a Bentley GT or Aston Martin Vantage are looking like promising choices. Last time we showed you our CLS55 AMG, it was barely driven as we had just acquired it. Well, it isn’t stock anymore…

Since we were driving this car daily and didn’t want to attract too much attention on the streets, we decided to do something subtle yet aggressive. We chose to first lower the car using a module and then add a set of 360 Forged wheels, Straight 5 design in brushed silver with chrome lips and brushed inner barrels. As you may have heard 360 Forged is no longer in business and Forged DST has now bought rights to the wheels but hasn’t done a great job getting the bad taste out of people’s mouths. I still believe that 360 Forged wheels are some of the prettiest wheels on the market, along with D2 Forged.

We were able to get our set of 20″ 360 Forged Wheels trouble free from our old friends at Wheel Boutique in Miami. Our friend John did a great job on the wheels, price and delivered within 3 weeks as promised. This was great news for us as the world is having a hard time getting these very expensive and prestigious wheels. We went with the Straight 5 design to keep a clean factory look but benefit from some great deep lips. 4″ to be exact on the rear.

We decided to go with Nitto Invos, 245’s up front and 305’s in the rear also courtesy of our friend John at Wheel Boutique, as our first experience with the Invo by Nitto, we feel that this is by far one of the best looking tire on the market and is phenomenal value for the money. We would recommend it to all.

Finally, we decided to black out our front grill in matte black to make it a bit more aggressive and contrast the front lower grill. Our CLS55 AMG is meant to have a carbon fiber front lip as well but we did not want to install it prior to winter’s end, as the car is lowered quite a bit and would have made it hard to navigate our way through the city.

Project “Executive” CLS55 AMG starts NOW

We warned you that our Lamborghini Project was on hold after phase 2 due to the winter months in the Mid Atlantic region. This has not stopped us from picking up our latest addition to the family which was a 2006 CLS55 AMG. We unveiled our CLS55 earlier this month in a photo shoot along with our Lamborghini. We had originally decided to keep this car entirely stock as a daily driver the Secret Entourage family would use, but who are we kidding…that’s near impossible! We dont keep anything stock at Secret Entourage, we modify everything we own in an effort to remain unique, so without adieu, here we go!

When we decided to start our CLS55 AMG project, we wanted to retain the OEM appearance of the car as much as possible, while discerning elegance with a hint of “bad ass”. As we always do, we decided to start with wheels and tires which our friends at wheel boutique in Florida volunteered to help with. We chose to go with a classic and mean looking 360 Forged wheel, the “Straight 5″ 20″ in brushed silver centers with chrome lips. Staying close to the OEM 5 star design was key here as we want to retain an elegant look, rather than one that simply draws attention. The tires of choice were of course the new Nitto Invo in 245 and 305 sizes respectively. We chose the Nitto Invo as they are a great balance of performance and beauty and are respectively well priced for their Z rating.

Lowering the car will also be necessary and we decided to go with Renntech for all of our suspension and performance needs this time around. We decided to go with their lowering module, along with their carbon fiber airbox and finally their supercharger pulley. We expect to range somewhere in the high 480 Hp exceed 550 Lbs TRQ at the wheels. Suspension would get lowered about 1.5 inch on all 4 corners.

On the outside, we remain almost entirely OEM as we believe the CLS design to simply be timeless, which means the less we do, the classier we remain. We have however reached out to Carlsson for one of their carbon fiber front spoiler lips which should contrast the front end a bit and make the stance of the CLS55 more aggressive. We will follow that carbon fiber to the main grill and finally to the rear diffuser as well. The car will be completed with a set of yellow Brembo brakes which will be used to offset the silver wheel color and perfect match our Lamborghini Gallardo color theme.

Our CLS55 AMG will undergo all these changes and be back in play in the next few weeks, when we will bring you a special bonus model with our fully completed “Executive” CLS55 AMG. Enjoy this preview of Jordan’s CLS55AMG. It was our inspiration for our project.

The Secret Entourage CLS55 AMG

Secret Entourage’s Mercedes has been delivered: The 2006 Mercedes Benz CLS55 AMG.

We chose the CLS55 because power, styling and luxury combine effortlessly with this AMG. We wanted to go with the S63 first but decided on the CLS55 based on its much younger appearance and fun factor. Here is a little background about the CLS55 and photo shoot of our two amazing super cars next to each other.

We chose the CLS55 AMG over the CLS63 because it was available only one year and was discontinued in favor of the more docile 63 in 2007 to present. The 2006 CLS55 was the one and only to feature the new styling of the CLS along with the brute force of the Supercharged V8 5.4L motor featured in all the 55 cars to date. The car produces a brutal 495HP and close to 560lbs ft TRQ which translates to a full size sedan hitting 0-60 in 4 seconds or less. All this power combined with a 5 speed automatic transmission with manual override which Mercedes claims to be necessary to contain the amount of torque.

Known as the world’s first 4 door coupe, the Mercedes CLS was noted as rich, young, fresh and simply beautiful by Automobile Magazine which ranked it number 6 on sexiest automobiles ever made back in 2007. The roof line is thin and creates a very sexy sports shape that keeps the car apart from other sedans. The downfall to such a clean roof is the space and headroom in the rear is quite limited, especially if you are tall.

The interior is stunning in our CLS55, we have black leather on gloss burl wood and a stunning black suede headliner with suede inserts on the seats as well. We selected to get all possible options on our CLS55, we even got the dynamic seats feature which makes the seats move according to the car’s g-force around corners and ensures you remain well bolstered in them. We really think this option along with Keyless Go are must haves if you opt to get a CLS yourself.
