4 Apps That Changed my Life by 180 Degrees

Being an entrepreneur is a hard job. At least in the beginning. It’s even harder when you have to deal with other things like your studies, your full-time job, your family, and so on. I know, because I’m studying dentistry and trying to maintain a high GPA while also building my business online. Having to deal with all this, some days I started to get off track. That’s when I started experimenting with different apps to help me stay on track. I tried dozens of apps, but there are only 4 apps that I could say helped me stay on track.

In this post, you’ll discover these apps and other apps I tried and why I don’t like them. Are you ready?

Wunderlist

If you don’t have a to-do list, you’re going to get off track no matter what else you do. You need to know the items you need to tackle today to reach your goal. I talked about that in my planning postThe problem is most to-do lists are either complicated or cause me to waste a lot of time just getting my to-do list created.

That’s where Wunderlist shines.

Being a web app, an Android app and an iOS app, you can carry it with you wherever you go and never lose track of your to-do list. It is also easy to insert your to-dos and you don’t need a lot of time to do it. A couple of minutes are more than enough. I like the easy-to-use, plain, simple interface.

If you aren’t using it, make sure to check it out. I expect a lot of improvements to come soon since Microsoft acquired it last year.

Clear Focus

This is a simple timer that is available on the android market. Sorry iPhone users. What this tool helps me do is to stay focused on the task I’m doing. I use it for the Pomodoro technique. I’ve tried several apps before, but I preferred to stick with it because of the very simple interface.

There aren’t a lot of options in this app, which may be annoying for some people, but when it comes to an app like this, simplicity can actually be a big asset.

Fabulous

This is a new app that took the android market by storm. I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now, and man, it’s amazing. Simply put, it’s an app that helps you create habits to improve some aspects in your life like sleeping better, losing weight and so on. What this tool enabled me to do is to create a simple morning ritual and evening ritual that helps me start and end my day the right way. Also, it has supporting yoga and meditation videos. It’s an amazing app that has been changing my life the past 3 weeks. I can’t stop using it!

Accomplish

This is also another app that I’ve started to experiment with lately. In simple terms, this is kind of a calendar app. I tried Solcalender and many other apps, but this one is really amazing. I also like the easy-to-use interface. You can first create a to-do list and then put the task in the calendar and set a duration for it.

Now, I wake up every morning, see the to-do items in the wunderlist app (it’s still better when it comes to to-do lists), add these tasks on my calendar, and try to accomplish them. It’s fast and simple.

Parting Thoughts

Apps are meant to help you get something done in a better way. I’ve been experimenting with a lot of apps and these are the ones that are doing the job for me right now. They help me stay on track, get more done and accomplish more in my life.

Start trying to incorporate them in your life. And make sure to tell me if I need to check an app out. I’ve tried a lot, but I may have missed a few.
