Is The American Dream Really Dead?

Is The American Dream Really Dead?

I came to America in 1997, and it certainly wasn’t with a suitcase or a dream. I simply came here with my mother, no money, and the hope that success was possible in this country. While many have come here with hopes and dreams, we had come here with no expectations other than the opportunity to work, and an opportunity to try…

Tips to Negotiate a High Salary Job Offer

Between 18-25 years of age, I served in multiple roles in a super regional bank, from Branch Manager to Executive Vice President. While I was promoted over a dozen times to various departments and salary grades, there was one thing that was always consistent: my salary was always 40% more than my peers and even in one instance, over 75%…

Some people actually enjoy working for a company that offers great pay and benefits, while others absolutely hate their boss and daily responsibilities. For guys like Jebo Lopez, entrepreneurship came into the picture to help fund some extra hobbies and toys. Little did he know that his side business would soon grow into a multi million dollar a year company. Through identifying opportunities in poor dealership logistics, Jebo founded Wheelz Up, a dealer parts transport and delivery service in the Mid Atlantic Region which has grown to over 47 delivery vans and annual revenue close to $3 million a year. Time is our most precious asset and it seems that no matter which direction you look, there is a product or service geared to saving you time or helping you accomplish results faster. Patience is the virtue we exercise to take advantage of the time we have. While I would love perfect abs in six minutes or to become a…

Project Lightning Blade – Audi R8

Project Lightning Blade - Audi R8In our recent buyers guide for the Audi R8, we felt like sharing our understanding of the market on this well balanced car. It only made sense since we appreciate the car to push its limits further by enhancing the few things we didn’t love about it. Believe it or not, the Audi R8 is the first car we have ever owned that looked perfect just as it is from the factory and needed literally nothing. Secret Academy Episode – Todd Rothman

Secret Academy Episode - Todd RothmanWhile attending undergrad studies, Todd Rothman had the misfortune of learning his dad had cancer forcing him to leave school briefly to support the family. After a short but successful stint in wall street, Todd realized he was not passionate and went back to school after his fathers passing to pick up where he left off to become a physician. Dealing with the emotional stress of his fathers passing made it hard for Todd to continue that path even though he excelled at medical studies. Todd slowly began to help others in fields like biology and organic chem and eventually caught the attention of another tutor who would later become his then business partner. Together they both turned their tutoring hobby into a legitimate business making well into six figures a year. Initially, Todd partnered with universities and tutored students in packed classrooms, then repackaged his tutoring into DVDs, only to face pushback from schools and college professors. With the internet becoming such a prevalent medium for students and schools alike, Todd created Streaming Tutors, an online learning platform that has tutored over 20,000 students worldwide.
